In 2004, North Dakota businesses lost over 100 employees to car crashes,
costing society over $104 million, not including the priceless lives that
were lost.
We
work with local businesses to emphasize the importance of seat belts to
their employees. The goal of the project is to increase safety belt usage
by employees of the participating work site. A variety of Fargo workplaces
have been involved with our worksite seat belt projects including:
-
Rosenbluth
International (Up Stream)
-
Case/New
Holland
-
Blue
Cross/Blue Shield (Noridian)
-
Cardinal IG
-
NDSU
-
Swanson
Health Products
Resources for the projects are provided by the Safe Communities Coalition
of the Red River Valley and by the North Dakota Department of
Transportation. Some resources that are provided include a project
coordinator to help your employees with the entire project, incentive
items and project materials.
Depending on the needs and wishes of the workplace, a variety of
promotional activities are used including:
-
Poster/Coloring contests for children and grandchildren of employees
-
Employee

-

-
